Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have to be Catholic to attend Holy Cross School?
No, you do not however; because of our spiritual nature, all students are required to participate in religion classes and all spiritual activities related to our daily school schedule.

Do you have to be a member of Holy Cross Church?
Members of Holy Cross Church, St. Mary Church, and St. Patrick Church all receive an in parish tuition rate.  The tuition rate is higher for members of other Catholic parishes or non-Catholic students.

Do the students wear uniforms?
Yes, our students wear uniforms.  All students may wear navy blue or khaki bottoms with navy blue, light blue, white, hunter green, or yellow tops.  Girls also have a plaid option.  Our entire dress code can be found in our school handbook by clicking on Parents/Students, then Resources.

Do students attend Mass?
We have a regularly scheduled Mass for our students every Friday morning.  We also attend Mass on Holy Days when school is in session.  We invite our parents to join us at Mass.

What are the school day hours?
Our day begins at 7:55 AM and dismisses at 2:30 PM.

Is there an after-care program?
After-care is available after school from 2:30-5:30 PM.  It is also offered on early dismissal days.  More information about after-care can be found by click on Parents/Students, then After Care.

Do you have technology at Holy Cross School?
Each of our classrooms is equipped with a Smart Board for interactive lessons and learning.  Holy Cross has a computer lab equipped with 25 Mac-mini desktop computers.  Our early elementary classrooms utilize sets of IPads to enhance teaching and learning.
